Something just dropped in my spirit: Service and receiving!!
At times we think we are giving while serving others.
At times we think we are the only ones selfless while serving!
At times we think we are doing people favours in the place of service.
But one thing we are unaware of is the fact that WE ARE ACTUALLY RECEIVING WHILE SERVING!!!
Elijah and Elisha came to my mind. How on earth would Elisha could have thought that he would receive a double portion of Elijah’s anointing in the place of service?
How on earth would Elisha have known that God was preparing him for something greater than his master in the place of service?
How on earth would Elisha have thought God was taking him on this journey to test his loyalty, commitment, faithfulness, perseverance before handing him over a double?
Even when Elijah was on his way out of the earth, Elisha never stopped serving!
Even when Elijah kept telling him to turn back, Elisha never looked back.
Even when the prophets tried discouraging Elisha, he never gave in.
Elisha would complete this work of service that he started, he would see it through to the end.
It’s no wonder he received double.
Listen, God has appointed a place for you, but before you can get there, you gotta to be tested.
In the meantime ENJOY YOUR PLACE OF SERVICE. You have no idea what God is giving you as you serve and serve faithfully!!
