What is divine assistance? I will like to break it into 2.
Divine is supreme God, proceeding from God , sacred, unusual, something supernatural, something out of this world, something beyond the natural.
Assistance means help ,or a kind of provision given to someone.
Divine assistance is then God’s supply, provision that comes from God. Help that helps us accomplish a divine goal, purpose or vision.Divine assistance is also help given by God to us in our times of need.
WHY DO WE NEED DIVINE ASSISTANCE?
We need divine assistance because we are flesh and we cannot achieve anything on our own Jn 15:5
Secondly, we need divine assistance because the arm of flesh will always fail us. 1 Sam 2:9,Ps 108:12
Thirdly, we need divine assistance in other to keep standing Jude 1:24
There are battles that we cannot face on our own 2 Chron 20:13, Ex14:14
EXAMPLES OF THOSE WHO RECEIVED DIVINE ASSISTANCE
Hezekiah, 2Kings 19:7
Jehoshaphat, 2 Chrom 20:17-19
Moses , Ex 14:20-21
Joshua , Josh 6:20
David, 1 Sam 17:17-49
Sarah, Gen 21:1-2
Peter, Acts 12:5-7
Paul and Silas , Acts 16:25-34
It takes only God to do the impossible, it takes only Gd to do what no man can do, it takes only God to make a way where there seems to be none, it takes only God to help when no one will/can. We must know that all of our help comes from the Lord.
There are some situations in our lives that unless God sends help we never can pull through but rejoice because if God did it for others and we see and hear the evidences , He can do even much more for us.
THE PLACE OF PRAYER: GO AHEAD AND ASK.
ONE THING COMMON TO ALL THOSE PATRIARCHS IS EARNEST PRAYERS.
He has promised u that when we ask we will receive because He desires our joy to be full. Jn 16:24
Again He wants to show His love towards us . NEVER GIVE HELP IS ON THE WAY.
