In our society today, children are the most dependent , vulnerable and reliant on our love, nurturing care and basic needs.
Children trust us and never doubt what we say to them. They admit that they cannot help themselves.
No wonder Jesus Christ likened us to little children in other for us to enter the His kingdom. Mk 10: 13-16.
From these passages Jesus drew out the most important principles of life for us Christians. Is it not amazing to know that after spending so much time with Christ His disciples had still not studied Him to know and understand His ways of life.
LET’S SEE SOME OF THE CHARACTERISTICS OF CHILDREN THAT CHRIST WILL HAVE US WALK IN:
TRANSPARENCY: Their minds are so transparent and simple
because they have not learnt to practice any form of deceit.
HUMILITY: Children have not learnt to conceal their
characters, they are willing to serve others without looking
for the gains.
INNOCENCE: A child’s heart is very pure and undiluted. They
do not know grudge, keep malice , lie or do wickedness.
FAITH: A child believes anything, never doubt and trust that
any promise made to them will be fulfilled.
TEACHEABLE: They are eager to learn, can receive new
things and are willing to be thought.
FORGIVES : Children are so quick to forgive and never
grudge.
REPENTANCE: They are quick to accept their mistakes and
Apologises for it.
MAY OUR HEART CRY TODAY BE THAT GO WOULD GIVE US
CHILDLIKE HEARTS IN JESUS NAME. AMEN.
