One day someone came up to me to tell that she had this revelation about me.
She said “ I saw you in a very large green well watered vegetation and you were sitting under a shade and well rested.”’
I smiled because I very much understood it.
See, the good Sherpherd will always lead you to the place where you have more than enough. A place that you lack nothing!! A place of abundance.He will guide you so that your steps are not hindered.
The imagery of the green vegetation and metaphor of a shepherd depicts how a shepherd truly cares for his flock. He protects, guides, provides and delivers.
At times we walk through the shadow of death and it looks like the valley will consume us, hey, the dark seasons, the low seasons, the trails, the temptations, injustice there is absolutely no need to fear because the good Sherpherd is just right by your side to comfort and lead you thru.
It’s no wonder the psalmist said His rod and staff comfort me. His staff to guide me and His rod to rescue me. Dearest, you are never alone.
So next time you feel you are alone on a path or journey, know that the Good Sherpherd is always present with you, He is your very present help in your times of need and He will lead you to your well watered garden you will be well rested and have ABUNDANCE!!
